Hi! Greetings frm the office! Yea today i'm working and the office is almost empty. Haha, i would very much prefer if they don't switch on the lights coz it's rather cosy working in the dark where nobody can see u. Weird eh? Guess i'm mostly a 'dark' person haha...
I know these few days i haven been blogging, i'm just too lazy to even look at the dashboard of blogger.com ahha. So let me recount the events tt happened, starting frm Sunday, 3rd Feb.
Sun 3rd Feb:
My family went to St Mike's for mass coz we need to be in time for an intl lunch buffet at Sakura later on. FYI, St Mike's finishes real early, even before the shops open fully (ard 10.45). So while at St Mike's, we were singing the Our Father and i was holding my sis' hand. When i felt her hand trying to wrench free frm mine, i looked up at her and saw tt she had tears in her eyes. I tot she was just yawning and so the tears just came out but it suddenly escalated to free-flowing tears and she was really crying. So i nudged my mum and asked her why sis is crying and when she looked at her, her eyes became red too. I tot to myself "Wat? Mum is crying too??" ( haha, laugh at this). And i shifted my focus to Dad, and his eyes were also scrunched up, looking ready to cry too! Haha stupid insensitve me don't understand wat's going on until dad, mum and sis hugged each other and tt's when it dawned on me, they miss each other so much. Only 4 more days to departure and then it will be a family of four (plus a hamster and chimpchimp haha)... God's Heavenly Song really touches and moves pple to the point of breaking down.
Lunch at Sakura's was interesting for us and rather a first-time for us to be able to take as much mussels and sashimi frm the displays. Haha, my stomach is really small ( jo, MY STOMACH IS REALLY SMALL!!!) so i got full rather fast. Well then everybody cheered up.
Mon (4th Feb):
Worked. Still typing.
Tues (5th Feb):
Worked. Stoned. Dozed off. Getting tired of repetitive work. Applied leave for Wed so tt i can see my frens even though sup reminded me tt taking leave frm a supposed half day's work will lead to a full day's pay being slashed frm ur pay check. Haha i dun freaking care about it, i just wan to get away frm all these work!
Wed (6th Feb):
Went down to sacss to meet my frens. Then went to Macs for lunch. The highlight of the day came went sis smsed me to buy her brown toned contact lens and solution bottles now. She said it was an emergency... Neh... She spoilt my outing wif my frens as i had to leave already since my family will be going over to grandma's place after tt. I rushed down to suntec, and i think it was the fastest journey i've ever taken. I believe it only took an hour and a half for me to get frm bedok to suntec and then back home. Oh i wanted to help my sis so much to find her cherry red and white ripple slippers so i went into Hula & Co. but they said the design has stopped production already... Disappointed... Few more hours to sis' departure...
Thurs (7th Feb):
1st day of CNY! Woke up early at ard 5 am to see my sis off at the airport. Bro din follow, he's really an ungrateful and unappreciative brat. At the airport, sis' luggage was apparently overweight, it had exceeded the maximum allowed weight of 22kg. So sis transferred her things over to a backpack, luckily things were solved quickly, we only just had to pay for excess baggage (70 bucks). FYI, payment for excess baggage is only allowed when ur luggage is maximum 30 kg. The time came for us to part, i was quite reluctant to let tt moment come...
We went home to slp a short while and then we went over to the 2 grandmas' places where we had lunch and dinner. Both meals were very fulfilling...
Fri (8th Feb):
2nd day of CNY! Went to Lao Ma's place at Sengkang. Tried to spot cousins frm the paternal side coz my dad's side has got a really big family and most prob the largest number of family members who r almost entirely roman catholics! Too catholic in fact... As usual, lunch was soooooo shiok, but this yr there wasnt laksa... But the briyani was consolatory for me...
So here i end this post wif a short msg dedicated to my sis...
Dear Sis,
While overseas, take care of urself and dun let ur hot-headedness overwhelm u and get u into trouble. Stop and think for urself how this situation will eventually influence others as well as urself. I am really sure u will make good over there because u r specialising in the course and moreover u have the potential to be a lawyer. Also, dont get into fights with Seba over small little things and learn to give and take while running the household and while outside. Take care not to overspend and take care not to speed on the highway. The bed feels lighter without u...
