Today was my last day at work.
It was a little touching but a low-key affair.
I received my testimonial as well as gifts frm a few other pple.
I also received handshakes of appreciation but a pity tt it's not a golden handshake haha.
Me a money-minded girl.
Among the gifts was a Parker pen and according to mum, it is supposedly a professional as well as an expensive pen.
So im really thankful for tt.
Besides im a person of giving, not taking so i wouldnt mind if i got very few gifts.
To sum it up, my six months of work at NTUC was a very low-key one but still with a work attitude tt's enough to make someone happy.
Im know myself tt i've been efficient during the course of work and tt's wat im happy about.
At least i've gained the experience and also added one more thing to my resume.
I've never dreamt tt i would work for a whole 6 months which equates to half a year!
I remember i once told myself tt i would quit after a few days whe i first started out by packing boxes which was a torture!
Six months have passed by too quickly.
Another 2 more months and it will be my first step into adulthood.
I feel i've aged too fast but my body hasnt.

This June holidays, i've decided to run to keep me in shape for the new school year.
I've also decided to take up volunteer work at a zoo or some animal welfare organisation such as ACRES.
I also plan to look up new recipes on the web and try cooking them on my own.
I also plan to do some marketing for my family and we can all sit down for a home-cooked dinner once in a while.
The GSS is here, everybody dont forget.
There's also the PC Show to look forward to and i will maybe buy some gadgets for myself.

I received my NUS offer last Wed.
They offered me Real Estate.
I wont be accepting this course becoz the modules dont suit me at all.
So i guess i will stick to NTU's offer for the time being until the results for appeal to FASS are out.
This will be my final test.
This test will show my fate.
Right now, i can only picture images of the School of Biological Sciences as being very new and totally 'glassy'.
I can only take pride in the fact tt it is a new building and it also has a famous canteen which is being catered by CJS, a caterer tt my mum strongly recommends.
I hope to make new friends EASILY and i really really hope to find friends that are similar to the friends i had in jc.
I've realised myself tt university isnt all about its ranking or the prestige tt it holds.
It's only about the relevancy of the course as well as the direct honours programme tt comes with it.
Another thing, my family is depending on me to 'save' them frm the hectic lifestyle of Singapore haha.
To America, to Europe, to Australia...
That's their dream and their biggest hope is that i would be able to secure a job overseas so tt it will be easier for me to apply for PR or even a citizenship.
However i'm not sure myself whether im cut out for this course as i've no confidence in undertaking chemistry and biology again.
But i will try to do my best and the good thing is tt uni only has modules, which i hope tt i will be able to cope better with.
My only biggest worry is tt the friends tt are too dear to me will soon drift away frm me due to distance and busyness that uni life brings.
This is my biggest worry...
