Today, i went to Comex at Suntec with mum and aunty to buy a Samsung mono laser printer.
The price was really cheap at 88 bucks compared to nus' and ntu's eight flags' price of 128 bucks.
You may leave the exhibition hall feeling happy about your purchases but when the time comes for you to leave the shopping centre's premises, you cant help being pissed off by the govt's wish to have abt 6.5 million people in the future.
6.5 million pple???
I dont think i can survive.
I cant even tahan the pushing strong crowd trying to enter suntec city when i was making my way out, let alone 6.5 million.
Hurh, hurh let's wait and see.
...
After tt, i had a combo of lunch and dinner at Sushi Tei at Raffles City.
And i have to say tt it's a real authentic japanese restaurant where they serve proper-tasting japanese food.
Unlike the exorbitant-priced Sakae Sushi which charges high prices but worse quality food.
I had chawan mushi, agedashi tofu, salmon sashimi, curry chicken katsu don and soup the steamboat kind.
Overall the soup was the best where the ingredients are thrown in.
Ingredients are radish, burdock root, yellowtail fin, fatty salmon meat, lettuce and scallop.
Soooooo tasty!!!
And the price is quite reasonable.
I strongly suggest tt u shd go to Sushi Tei for its real authentic jap food yet reasonable priced at the same time.
...
Tml i have a project meeting at yih.
Sucky.

So far so good.
School's ok for me.
This will be the last 2-day school week i will enjoy.
Next week, i will have a 4-day school week but only on odd weeks.
Tml is the social work fair at esplanade park.
I hope i can answer the public's questions and not mess up my day tml.
Luckily i've got experience in tt kind of booth thingy and answering people's questions so i guess it shd be alright with me.
Today i went to toa payoh to look for a basketball to play in school.
Quite expensive at 89 bucks...
If any of you wants to join me after your lessons, feel free to do so.
It's time to start exercising and be active.

Hey! Have a look!
It's a vista in disguise!
It looks like a mac aint it?
I've done a revamp of the theme, wallpaper and the logon screen to those that are typical of a mac.
Haha, it's like killing 2 birds with a stone although we can actually get a mac and do a dual boot of windows xp alongside mac osx.
But still, what i did on my lappie is the cheaper version of getting a mac interface on a windows vista operating system.
Overall, i'm happy with the whole thing.

Say "Hi!" to Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch!I bought them for a total of 50 bucks at the NUSSU bazaar at Central Forum.
I bought them on account of my sis not being able to bring her humongously large cookie monster over to aussie.
Thus i decided to get her a mini and huggable sized cookie monster.
And then afterwards, she also wanted oscar, im guessing it's because it represents Crabs haha.
The toys that the japanese-looking guy had for sale were really authentic and are very rare, meaning it's very hard to find in sg.
Among the toys he has on sale are ratatouille the mouse, wallace and gromit, the bigger version of chimpchimp, his "girlfriend" the giraffe, homer and bart simpson, sesame street characters and many more!
Wow!

School's starting tml for most of NUS people except for me.
Mine starts on tuesday because of the way i've rearranged the timetable.
If everything goes according to plan meaning that if i manage to secure my tutorial slots, i will have mondays and thursdays free.
So since school's starting, jo, amenda and me went to escape theme park yesterday to destress ourselves from the "holiday withdrawal syndrome".
At first, i wasnt so keen on going to an amusement park because im not a thrill lover and this has been made worse when i stepped inside the park.
Seeing all those "scary" rides made me fearful even more.
(i put inverted commas here because in the end, it wasnt so scary after all.)
For starters, we went to the Yakult Kite Flyer and surprisingly, i didnt have a butterfly feeling in my stomach unlike other times when i took that ride.
After tt, i was feeling a little brave so we went to the new ride called "Flipper" and tt was the very ride tt attracted me the most, in fact i loved it so much i went back again for another helping.
This time round, it was the first time since the park opened tt i got the guts to try out all the rides available including the ominous-looking "Inverter".
At the end of the day, i would have to say, the rides are really nothing at all to me and tt escape theme park is just a park for beginning thrill-seekers.
The only ride where i got to have a butterfly feeling in my stomach was the pirate ship and tt was also the same ride where jo screamed the loudest!
The next time round, i will bring more friends over so that the experience is more fun.
...
And today!!!
Today!!!
Bro wanted to get a new phone, the sony ericsson p1i, since his phone contract has ended so we went to bugis hello!shop to get his new phone.
Bro was a little disappointed when the staff told him it was out of stock and tt the stock hasnt come for 3 months.
Fortunately, the staff called other branches to see where other places had stock and the only place that had a stock of only 1 was at Golden Shoe.
The only 1 that was available in the whole of Singapore!!!
(Edit: Not the whole of sg but the only one available in hello!shop.)
So after bugis, we went to golden shoe to collect his phone.
That was not all.
Mum then asked the staff abt my phone's contract and whether it can be brought forward since my contract actually ends in sept.
It actually could be brought over and thus i was able to buy my dream sony ericsson w980 phone!!!
The $298 promo ends on the 11th of aug and after this promo, the price will be reverted back to the 500-600 price range which i definitely cannot wait tt long for the price to go down.
I bet this is what i call luck and also god's doing.
Ok let me get down to playing with my shiny piano black phone!!!

Heng Heng Heng!!!
Wahhh damn lucky of me!!!
The results of Round 2A was revealed just now and i managed to snag GEK1016: History and Theory of Modern Architecture for 399 points, the lowest successful bid.
Why lucky, you ask?
Because i had thrown in all the 400 points in my general account!
Just 1 point away from a tie!!!
I'm really lucky!
Thank God!
...
But then, next sem i will have lesser points to bid.
It's made all the more risky because with only 401 points in my general account next sem, i will have to choose a gem tt is unpopular.
Maybe i wouldnt even get my dream ssd module!
Well, it's still early to say.
I'm just glad tt i know at least somebody taking the same respective modules as me especially for the architecture module.

What happens when your friend who was once close to you starts to drift away from you?
What happens when your friend whom you thought of as a conservative person starts to party one day?
What happens when your friend begins to lose interest in having a friend in you?
What happens when your friend begins to neglect you?
What happens when you experience all these things the moment school starts?
...
Take heed, my friends.
All these will happen.

Today was the Freshmen Inauguration Ceremony at NUS.
Everybody had to wear a formal get-up and be at the University Cultural Centre by 9am at least.
Well, as i've read from a forum, the ceremony is meant to invoke a sense of pride as well as ego for us pro-NUS students.
As for me, i wouldnt recommend freshies to go for the ceremony because i feel it's a waste of time and moreover it's too short.
But what i like abt the ceremony is the a cappella team.
They sang really well and were especially creative in creating their own sounds instead of using musical instruments.
As usual, while in NUS, you will have to sweat endlessly in order to get through the day.
And this was made worse with stuffy formal blouses.
Tomorrow's flag day and i wont be going.
I need to get some much needed rest because of the sleepless night i had yesterday when i had a war with the mozzies.
My, mozzies do really keep you awake all night.
In fact im too irritated about them tt i've begun to think cockroaches arent so bad after all.
...
After the ceremony, i went to sim lim to buy sims 2 double deluxe and ikea stuffs.
Because of the buy-2-get-1-free promotion, i was able to get a free family stuffs game.
Thankfully, the game was able to run well on my lappy without any lag unlike my sis' lappy due to better graphics.
...
Mum's being unrealistic...
Since there were mozzies (again...) under the coffee table, i put the lappy on my lap.
When mum saw me, she exclaimed to me to get the lappy out of my lap or else i wouldnt be able to give birth.
Hahhah tt's a funny theory, mum, it only applies to guys not girls!!!

Finally i've experienced what cors bidding is like after yesterday's round 1c which ended at 5pm.
I started off with bidding for 4 exposure modules namely SE1101E (southeast asian), GE1101E (geography), EL1101E (english language) and PL1101E (psychology).
The round ended with me snagging only 3 out of 4 modules.
The module i didnt manage to get was psychology and i regretted not putting in a further 13 more points to bid.
Now, the next round 2a, the quota for the programme account is only 1 and with 398 bid points left after being refunded, i'm skeptical as to whether i will manage to snag it in tt round.
So now i cant wait for monday to come, tt's when the round will commence, and start bidding away like crazy.
Im so determined to get tt because i want to take all my exposure modules at one go, if not i will feel empty and incomplete.
That's how i am like, to finish everything i do.
Monday's the Freshmen Inauguration Ceremony and there's no news about the timing and the programmes lined up for us...
...
My long-awaited sony ericsson w980 phone has arrived on the shores of singapore and has made its way to singtel stores islandwide.
It's now retailing for a cool 298 bucks with a 2-year plan but the catch is, this promotion only lasts for 3 days.
Since its original price is about 600 sth bucks, i'm expecting the price to go up to within the 400 bucks range after the promotion ends.
Still, it's good news regarding the not-too-high pricing.
...
Right now, EA Singapore is having a sims 2 promotion until 15 aug i think.
A Buy-2-Get-1-Free promotion.
Just buy 2 sims 2 products and get a free sims 2 stuff pack.
This has certainly rekindled the sims 2 fan in me after a long period of absence.
And also particularly that i've gotten my new laptop, it makes me all the more determined to get my hands on the simulation game.
I think next week, i will go sourcing for shops tt sell cheap computer games probably at sim lim.
...
Today sis has gone back to perth.
Both of us will then be starting the new school term.
Life has started anew for us.
I hope it will be the same for others.

These few days have been hectic, in fact, very.
It is all attributed to NUS' rough hilly terrain, where to get to the first floor, one has to climb up a number of flight of stairs.
I can lose 2kg within a day, serious.
And also, with the orientation talks on tuesday and wednesday...
It seems i was already starting school whereby i travelled to NUS like almost everyday.
I'm getting sick of NUS...
And it could be a probable 4 years of torture!
I must be exaggerating.
...
Yesterday, i was preparing backup plans for Cors and today, here i am, staring at the increasing number of bidders as well as the minimum bid needed.
How i wish they would allow us to declare our major the first time we started school so that the subjects will be pre-allocated to us, easy and square, just like in other countries.
Well, we are in singapore, we cant help it...
Right now i place my hopes in Him to let me have the modules i want but at a lowest possible bid.
So...
News coming up after Round 1c finishes at 5pm today!
Oh, Jolene Pang has passed her QET!
See poot poot, you were worrying for nothing.
Come on girl, lead a happy life.
...
I certainly love typing on my new toshiba laptop.
Its keyboard has glossy keys so it feels comfortable and smooth to the touch.
In fact, it prevents my hands frm slipping while typing unlike the usual plastic keys.
This new laptop shall last me for 4 yrs at most!
